An ''introducer sheath'' is a sheath through which fluids or tools can be introduced (inserted). It is a surgical tool consisting of a tube inserted into the body to provide an access point and allow the insertion of other instruments into an artery or vein and a seal to maintain hemostatis. As a trocar provides passage through a cannula or a catheter provides passage during catheterization, so an introducer sheath provides passage. It is used during percutaneous procedures such as angiography, angioplasty and stent placement. After the procedure, the introducer sheath is removed and the puncture site is managed to control bleeding. 〔 Intra Special Catheters Intradesilet - Intraducer (with integrated haemostatic valve) Intradesilet - PEEL is a radiopaque, preformable peel-away introducer set for the introducement of 1. permanent pacing leads 2. balloon catheters 3. drainage catheters 4. other catheters (for ex. over vena subclavia) Intradesilet - PEEL is especially designed for the displacement of the introducer-set without changing the localization of the introducer catheter. The risk of kinking or traumatic effects at the insertion point is minimized by its design. ==See also== *Percutaneous 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Introducer sheath」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
